      Sage battles with herself and her own powers, fighting the darkness that threatens to consume her. She’s saved by another when she’s at her lowest, suffering the loss of her family. Until one day she discovers she might be part of a sinister plan. Unsure what that is and unwilling to wait around to find out, she escapes only to stumble upon the Liminal Brigade, a division of the royal army dedicated to capturing those with magic in the hopes of eliminating it once and for all.

     Finn, the Liminal Brigade commander, immediately takes a disliking to Sage. He doesn’t trust her, and he hates her ability to get under his skin, but he needs her help. They have a common enemy who is becoming more powerful and who better to help the brigade than someone who has been in his care for years? Can Sage work alongside them while keeping her true identity a secret? Can Sage find a way to control her magic before it controls her? Choices will be made, relationships will be tested, and unknown forces will deceive them all. Sometimes our destiny is nothing more than a wicked curse.
